About Dr. JohnsonDr. Johnson practiced internal medicine in Sacramento, California from 1949 to 1993. In 1988, at the age of 70, he became medical director for the Sacramento County Department of Public Health with responsibility for supervising clinics and jails. He served as editor of Sacramento Medicine from 1979 to 1993. This was the official publication of the Sacramento Eldorado Medical Society (now the Sierra Sacramento Valley Medical Society). This web site includes selected items from the 100+ editorials and articles Dr. Johnson wrote for this and other publications. Also see the comments on Dr. Johnson's term as editor by the subsequent editor, the late Dr. Ed Rudin. Since his retirement, Dr. Johnson is living in Colusa, California.
