I have been teaching for over 29 years and am currently teaching elective computer classes at Vina Danks Middle School in Ontario, California. I have been a Technology Mentor/Trainer with the Ontario-Montclair School District since 1986.

I was a Telementor in the California Technology Project's Telemation Project. I was the Regional Lead Telementor in the Region 10 Telemation Project, serving Riverside, Inyo, Mono, and San Bernardino Counties. I am a moderator of a Logo forum on the Internet which combines an international discussion group called LogoForum with the comp.lang.logo newsgroup topic on the Internet. I was a FrEdMail SysOp from 1988 to its shutdown on June 30, 1999 and I am a founding member of the Board of Directors of the Global SchoolNet Foundation and have served since 1990 to the present.

I love to hike in the mountains. I've hiked to the peak of Mt. Dana and Mt. Hoffman in Yosemite National Park; Mt. Baldy, Mt. Baden-Powell, Telegraph Peak, Timber Mtn., Cucamonga Peak, and Ontario Peak in the San Gabriel Mountain Range; Mt. San Gorgonio (the tallest mountain in Southern California), and Mt. San Jacinto which towers above Palm Springs at an elevation of 10, 850 ft.

I've been happily married for over 32 years to my wonderful wife, Chris. We have 3 wonderful children: Matthew (graduated from Swarthmore College and earned a Masters degree at UC Berkeley in energy resource policy) currently working for the University of California coordinating energy efficiency at the university campuses, Jason (graduated from Colby College and attending Harvard Graduate School working towards a PhD in Atmospheric Chemistry), and Katherine (an undergraduate at Earlham College).
